From an international network to a renewed European platform
The ERCA network began in 2011 through organisations working in personal certification and training-course qualification. Its former catalogue records training activity across 25 countries and multiple professional fields. The network states its own mission and membership rules on its existing site, erca-academy.com.
The renewed erca.eu carries that history forward. Existing programme families and partner records are being checked, updated to current standards and placed in a clearer system of programme requirements, assessment, certification decisions and public verification.
ERCA is a private professional competence and credential system. It is not an institution of the European Union, a national accreditation body or a source of statutory authority.
Mission and values
The aim is not to multiply certificates. It is to make the competence behind each credential understandable and verifiable.
- Comparable competenceA professional grade and scope should have defined requirements wherever the candidate is assessed.
- Labour mobilityClear programme scopes and public records help employers and clients understand competence across borders.
- Evidence before titleKnowledge, experience and practical work support the result; attendance alone does not.
- Continuing developmentCredential holders maintain current knowledge and practice through renewal requirements.
- Public verificationAn issued credential can be checked against its stated scope, status and validity.
ERCA professional code
Credential holders, trainers, assessors and partner organisations are expected to protect the confidence placed in the ERCA name.
| Confidentiality | Protect confidential candidate, client and partner information unless disclosure is required by law or authorised by the relevant party. |
|---|---|
| Honesty | Communicate qualifications, scope, results and limitations accurately. Do not encourage misleading or improper conduct. |
| Professional conduct | Follow applicable law, programme rules and recognised professional practice while protecting the reputation of candidates, partners and ERCA. |
| Impartiality | Identify conflicts of interest and preserve the separation required between training, assessment, review and certification decision. |
| Accountability | Cooperate with complaints, appeals and corrective action. Serious or unresolved breaches may affect approval or credential status. |
Preserve the network. Strengthen the evidence.
Existing ERCA organisations and professionals can help confirm programme history, trainer records and current market needs as the catalogue is renewed.
